This unique entire letter is the only recorded example of a bisected use of the India 1854 lithographed issue.
The entire from singapore to Hong Kong is marked "p. Formosa" and the diagonally bisected 2 Anna green is well tied by a "B172" obliterator and manuscript "4". On reverse, a "SINGAPORE/P.O." cds in red dated 28.12 and a Hong Kong double-arc arrival date stamp (10.1.58). BPA Certificate (2000). |
