A Newfoundland "De Pinedo" 60c unique block of four was knocked down for £129,387 in Harmers of London February 14th sale. It was 29% higher than the pre-sale estimate of £100,000.

Only 300 stamps were known overprinted and only two known blocks existed. The other block has since been reported divided into singles leaving this the only known block to exist.

This block is described by Harmers as an extraordinary item and one of the most important philatelic items in existence.
