A pen cancelled 1847 Trinidad & Tobago 5c stamp, also known as the 'Lady McLeod', was offered for auction in Harmers, London December 18 sale. It is one of the world's great rarities.
The pre-sale estimate was £5,000 but the stamp was eventually sold for £9,410. |
